Geographical location: Mostly found in Lau Local Gov't Area of  Taraba State. They seem to share a lot of semblance with the Mumuye culture, As a matter of fact the dialects are closely related.

Tribe: Minda

Religion : Traditional and Christianity

Although the Minda tribe have a Christian witness among them, most of those that profess the Christian faith still drink and  some times indulge in dodo (fetish) ceremonies.

 A large proportion of the populace are animists. Islam has not  been found to be attractive. It is difficult to find a single  moslem among the Minda tribe

UP-DATE OF THE WORK
                 

The work started in 1993 at the village of Minda. Over the span of 3 years the work has spread to other villages, notable amongst them are Jingo. Today the church in Minda is  experiencing tremendous growth, Converts are being discipled, and they number about 60-70 persons.

 Apart from church planting, a rural health outpost was started and is making tremendous impact on the lives of the peoples in the area. One of the things that threaten lives most in the area is snake bite.  Many people have died in the past, Adult education classes are being conducted by the missionaries in the area, and it has drawn a lot of enthusiasm  among the people. The Ministry plans to build a clinic in the area to help elevate the problem of snake victims. Pray toward this.
