Geographical Location: Mostly found around Jalingo and Lau Local Govt Areas of Taraba State. They are a war-like tribe.

Most of the Kona people are animists. Catholicism has affected the lives of the populace. The Kona tribe have a high number  of educated people and they occupy high positions both in the  private and civil service. They are known for their appetit for strong drink, and are a very adulterous society.

UPDATE OF THE WORK

The work started in 1994. So far the land has seemed to remain  impregnable, more so because of the influence of Catholicism.  Alongside the work of cross-cultural evangelism, the   missionaries run a rural health out-post. The people suffer so  much from snake bites. Many have died over the years, Through the help of MCM partners in the country, we have sunk four boreholes and school among the Kona people. Church planting work is going on among the people with over 12 young people participating in leadership among the Kona people.
